Male!Kido x Reader (Kagepro)

You and Kido were walking around in the mall. The two of you were bored and there was nothing to do at the hideout so both of you had decided to hang out in the mall. After walking around for a while, you end up at the dead end of the mall.


   “Looks like we hit a dead end.” Kido says as he looks behind him. You tug on his jacket sleeve and he looks over at you.

   “Look at that! It’s a mini arcade area!” You exclaim as you pull him over there with you.


   It was a very small arcade area. It probably wasn’t going to stay in business for much longer. There were only 3 machines, and they were all, well, claw machines. Those evil machines that no matter how much quarters you put it to them, you never get the item you want.

   You pointed your finger over to one of the claw machines.

   “I want to try it!” You said.

   “You're not going to get anything…” Kido replied. You glared at Kido and he put his hood over his head. You pulled out a few quarters from your pocket and insert them into one of the claw machines.

   

   You saw a (favorite animal) plushie in one of the claw machines and you were determined to get it. You were constantly moving the claw and then once you had a satisfying position, you let the claw drop. To your disappointment, you didn’t even touch the plushie.

   “See, I told you that you would just end up wasting your money on this.” Kido said as he moved closer to the claw machine that you were at.

   “I’m not giving up!” You said, as you pushed in another quarter. The machine was activated and you were ready. This time, when you pressed the red button for it to go down, it grabbed it.

   “Yes!” You exclaimed happily. Kido had the same blank expression as he watched it move. It was almost as if, he expected it to fall out of the claw.

   “So close!” You yelled. After a few more tries of trial and error, Kido grew restless, and he finally had it. You had one quarter left…


   “Only one quarter left. I better not waste it!”

   “Here, let me help you this time.” Kido said as you pushed the quarter into the slot. On the stick maneuver that you would use to control the claw, he put your hand on top of yours.

   “What are you?” You began.

   “I’m going to help you so we can leave already.” Kido said. He gently guided your hand back and forth until he reached the spot where he wanted the claw, you then pressed the red button. Face red from the sudden touch of Kido’s hand. Kido removed his hand from yours as the two of you watched the claw grab the plushie, and drop it into the bin.

   

   “Woah! Your amazing how did you do that!” You squealed happily as you opened the slot and grabbed the (favorite animal) plushie.

   “Practice.” Was all that he said. You looked at the plushie in your hand and smiled.

   “I’ll think of this as a gift from you!” You smiled.

   “W-what?” Kido said as he blushed.

   “Aww, come on you're happy and you know it.” You poked Kido’s side making him feel uncomfortable.


The two of you were walking out of the mall and the streets were packed with cars. Kido was looking ahead, but he grabbed your free hand that wasn’t holding the plushie.

“Why are you grabbing my hand?” You asked him, your face was a little red.

“To make sure that you cross the street safely.” He responded.
“I’m not a little kid!” You puffed out your cheeks in response.

   “You sure act like one.” Kido smiled.

   “No I don’t! Baka!” You responded. The fact that you were able to make him smile meant a lot to you. He didn’t smile often so you were glad that he felt comfortable enough to smile around you. It made you feel warm on the inside, then you smiled back.
